Duravi Welcomes Dr. Bill Bender as its Chief Innovation Officer

Duravi®, a pioneer in industrial metal transformation technology, today announced the appointment of Dr. William J. Bender as Chief Innovation Officer. Dr. Bender will lead Duravi's technology and innovation strategy, accelerating the commercialization of its proprietary metal surface enhancement solutions across global markets.
Dr. Bender brings decades of experience in materials science, product development, process development, innovation, customer service, and technology leadership. Most recently, he served as Koch Labs® Capability Director at Koch Disruptive Technologies. In this role he led the deployment of dozens of new technologies, the building of new capabilities, and provided support across more than 30 KDT portfolio companies.

In his new role, Dr. Bender will focus on leading the development of Duravi's technology, intellectual property, and innovation strategy - directing research and technical validation initiatives, identifying breakthrough commercialization opportunities, collaborating with strategic partners to develop next-generation solutions, and supporting the creation and expansion of Duravi's intellectual property assets.

Dr. Bender holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Virginia Tech, where he was a Presidential Research fellow, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Elizabethtown College. In addition, over the past 30 years, he has had an impactful and results-driven career leading R&D, Engineering, product & process innovation, and commercialization at Union Carbide, Dow Chemical, INVISTA, and Koch Disruptive Technologies.
